The equipment of carousel No. "A" of the international arrival hall of "Chinggis Khaan" International Airport was expanded and put into operation on May 30, 2023, and expansion work of the second carousel No. "B" was successfully completed and tested according to the schedule. Carousel No. "B" has been adjusted and put into operation starting from the Incheon-Ulaanbaatar flight of "Jeju Air" that landed at 13:00 on June 8, 2023.
Thus, by extending the length of the two baggage conveyors from 36 meters to 60 meters or 1.5 times, it is possible to receive many luggage at the same time, and it has the advantage of shortening the time of baggage reception. Also, a screen with flight direction and travel number information was placed at the top of the conveyor belt, making it easier for passengers to pick up their luggage.
In the future, the team of "Chinggis Khaan" International Airport will work to implement Government of Mongolia's Resolution No. 228, reduce traffic due to the airport's capacity, and ensure the comfort of passengers and customers using the airport.
